Rawson Brother Workshop

We see thousands of repair jobs every year and after a while patterns develop, so we have made a effort to avoid the common pitfalls of jewellery and avoided things like hollow or plated jewellery and especially invisible settings. We don’t like the idea of selling something that we know has a limited lifespan, we also don’t like the idea of constantly repairing items we sell so we have curated the range we offer to avoid problems before they become problems.

We use New Zealand Suppliers wherever possible, this ensures that our products can keep a higher welfare and environmental standard as well as ensuring higher quality and standards. As well as that we like to support New Zealand Made Product all our Chains are made in New Zealand as well as the alloys our workshop uses. For example our White Gold is far whiter than most larger retailers as it has a Platinum and Palladium alloy instead of a Nichol alloy which can cause skin problems goes a dull yellow with wear.

From Our Gold and Chain Supplier:

Morris and Watson is opposed to activities which benefit conflict, violence and human rights abuses. Nearly all of our precious metal products are produced by recycled waste from Jewellers and industry, along with local mines from within Australasia. Morris and Watson Ltd follows international best practice standards, including due diligence practiced on all new customers under our ‘Know Your Client’ policy.

Alluvial gold from the South Island of New Zealand is another significant source of gold for Morris and Watson. The alluvial operation complies with strict Department of Conservation protocols which firmly puts the responsibility on gold exploration, extraction and processing companies to minimize their environmental impact over the whole life cycle of their activities.

Reeves & Reeves

Rawson Brothers are the exclusive supplier of Reeves and Reeves in New Zealand. We first found Reeves & Reeves at a jewellery show in London, the Supersize Balloon dog caught our eye. The finish and the shear cleverness of the designs is what made us buy.

We love this range and it is extremely popular. As the range comes from the UK we don’t recommend waiting to purchase an item that catches your eye as it takes a while to refill the collection.
