Our Goldsmith was inspired during a trip through Melbourne’s Smith Street. With the noise, the beautiful small businesses, the food that’s presented like an art form and the best craft beer bar around, he though what if we just made some rings that we would like and not necessarily what we think others would like?

Spinel is an underutilized and beautiful gemstone. An 8 on the hardness scale, it is nearly as durable as sapphire* and has fantastic sparkle. Spinel comes in pinks, reds, purples and greys, and when we saw this fantastic stormy grey pear-shaped spinel, we knew what the ring would look like. 

Our Goldsmith crafted the ring in 18ct yellow gold accented with 3 small diamonds in our Upper Hutt Workshop.
